Holiday season kicks off soon!

 While your child’s preference for celebrating Christmas may change with age,

the magic does not have to. Re-imagining and introducing new traditions

into your holidays can make each holiday season feel wondrous 

and like the first one for them, no matter how old they get.

 

I've always used to send Christmas cards to family and friends, 

but during the last years I've been more and more lazy, and used 

the phone instead.  This year I've promised myself to gear up and go back to old traditions - sending more Christmas cards. They're so cozy to get.

 

So for this challenge I've made, not a Christmas card - but a Christmas tag 

to get you inspired ..  Hope it works 😉

Bookfolding "Pappa"

Ally's Angels DT-Challenge #48 Triple Fold card

Hello everyone!

 It's time for a new challenge at Ally's Angels.

The challenge starts today and ends at  Sunday, 8 August 2021

 

This was an order card that I had to make in a hurry. I was commissioned to make something for a lady who was going to retire. Previously, she worked as a nurse and a little in psychiatry, she is active and has several interests such as sewing, knitting, leather skins and cottage life. All these elements I should try to include on this card.  Here's what I ended up with:

I made a Triple Fold Card, using KennyK's beautiful stamp Naughty Nurse, which I colored with my Copic markers. The numbers are dies from Brenda Walton.
 

When you open the card, it looks like this on one side. 

... and the other side looks like this.

This is a Birthday card I've made for a 40 year old man. I wanted to put in some of his interests on this card, and here is the result. This is also my design team project for Ally's Angels and the new challenge starting today. The theme is Anything Goes.

Bookfolding "Horse"

 Hello dear friends and followers!

Todays post is a bookfolding I did years ago... A horse.

The pattern was made by my Swedish friend Annelie Söderwall.

The book is 18 cm high, and with 170 leaves.

Ally's Angels DT-Challenge #45 "My mom turned 85"

Hi everyone, 

    I hope you all are OK and in good health.  Once again I have to apologise for not posting much recently.

Today we have a new "Anything goes" challenge at  Ally's Angels

Challenge #45 runs from Saturday, 10 April 2021 – Saturday, 8 May 2021

For this challenge I made a card for my mom. She love different ways to fold cards, so I had to try a new one for her. I still miss all the great KennyK stamps... so I had to use one on my moms card.

Bookfolding "Name in a heart"

Hi dear followers

This time I wanna show you a book I folded on order. They wanted their last name inside a heart, and here is the result.

My dear friend Annelie Söderwall made the pattern to me.

 

 

I had to decorate the book outside too, using their first name...

 Hei hei,

Denne helgen er det online scrappetreff, og jeg STOR-koser meg!

Litt hektisk, med to nattevakter på toppen av det hele -  

men sove kan en gjøre når en blir gammel  😃

 

Det jeg vil vise dere nå er en tag hvor jeg har laget bakgrunnen selv.

En av utfordringene på treffet er nemlig selvlaget bakgrunn.

 

For dere som kjenner meg, vet dere at jeg er særdeles glad i KennyK sine stempel (disse er dessverre ikke lengre i handelen, men jeg fikk mange før Kenny sluttet å tegne disse...så jeg har de ofte framme og bruker de rett som det er.)

 

Til tagen har jeg benyttet stempelet "Super Mom". Dette har jeg fargelagt  ved hjelp av Copic tusjer. I tillegg har jeg satt på et par tekst striper fra Tim Holtz.

Tekstene "Din dag" og Gratulerer" er embosset.

Til slutt monterte jeg på noen micro-perler i off-white, blå og sort.
